Interactive demo · Engine Out Optimization

The NOx–soot trade-off, in your hands

This is the core of Engine Out Optimization: move the control variables and watch engine-out emissions and fuel consumption respond. The model is evaluated on every change, in your browser, with nothing sent anywhere.

What this is, precisely. calG fits emission models offline from dynamometer data; this page ships the fitted coefficients and evaluates them live. The fitting and optimisation engine stays in the desktop application. Dataset: representative 6-cylinder heavy-duty diesel at 1400 rpm / 50% load. Preview build: the surface behind these sliders is a hand-authored placeholder, not a calG fit. It behaves the way a diesel engine does, but do not quote the numbers.

NOx–soot trade-off · start of injection swept at the selected EGR and rail pressure

What you are looking at

Advancing injection raises NOx and cuts soot. EGR does the reverse and costs fuel. Rail pressure buys soot reduction almost for free until it does not. The curve is that trade-off drawn out across the full injection-timing range at your current EGR and rail pressure.

What calG adds

In the application you fit this model from your own test data, validate it against measured cycles, optimise across a whole ESC or WHTC rather than one operating point, and export the result as an ECU-ready map.

Try it on your engine

A 30-day trial licence runs the full workflow on your own data, on your machine.
